Our Team

Adam Tom
Adam TomPrincipal Consultant
Growing up on a farm, Adam acquired a distinct fascination with trees. If he wasn’t climbing a tree, he was rolling over logs by the creek looking for snakes and other inhabitants. Trees became enthralling for
Adam who found himself caught up in the sheer size and nature of tree life and all that went together to support the tree’s ecosystem.

The Tree Doctor was established by Adam in 1992, and since then has assumed a reputation for being just as the name suggests. He is a doctor of trees and he has become synonymous with delivering tree care and tree health solutions in all situations and environments across Queensland and Australia.

The Tree Doctor and his crew of expert tree carers have made it their business to know what makes trees work and because of that they know how to look after them.

Adam works hard to understand what makes a tree function, and as a result, he is far better qualified to look after them. Adam’s knowledge encapsulates tree identification, disease and pest management, how their systems work, how to keep them alive as long as possible and to preserve their heritage.

Dan
DanThe Tree Doctor Crew
Dan is one of our climbing arborists at the Tree Doctor. He has been with the company for 18 months.

Originally from the United Kingdom he began his career in Arboriculture after watching a lead arborist at Kew Gardens. As he watched and listened to this arborist talk passionately about his job and the joy of climbing Dan was inspired to quit Astrophysics and follow in the footsteps of this enthusiastic tree person. (Yes, we have a trained Astrophysicist on staff)

Dan has been working in Australia since 2012. He has a Certificate III in Arboriculture and is working towards his Certificate V.

Dan is an enthusiastic photographer and has recently began adding to the images on TTD web page and Facebook.

Zayn
ZaynThe Tree Doctor Crew
Zayn has worked at The Tree Doctor since 2011.

He started out as a casual crew member and went on to become a permanent fixture and the crew supervisor. Zayn works at the ground level and is the face most clients recognise.

He is currently studying to gain his Certificate III in Arboriculture, not an easy task for a family man with young children.

Any spare time he gets finds Zayn on the open road or a dirt track. Alternatively he will be found building something, he likes to tinker in his shed.
