Senior Arborist


We currently have an opportunity for an AQF Level 5 (or higher) Arborist to join our team. We are seeking someone with a passion for their profession, a desire for knowledge and who can work independently.

Duties of the position include:

  • Preparing quotes for residential and commercial work
  • Tree health and condition assessments (including hazard assessments) for both residential and commercial clients
  • Conducting small - medium sized tree surveys and collating data



Qualifications:

The successful candidate must possess the following -

  • Formal qualification in Arboriculture - minimum requirement AQF5
  • Current QTRA or TRAQ qualification
  • Current driver’s licence (MR licence an advantage)
  • Construction induction training / white card


Essential skills for the role

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working understanding of construction and development methods
  • Thorough understanding of AS 4373-2007 Pruning of Amenity Trees and AS 4970-2009 Protection of Trees on Development Sites
  • Attention to detail, ability to identify compliance issues and provide practical solutions
  • Competent use of MS Office (including Outlook) software
  • Working knowledge of TreePlotter™ software (desirable – training can be provided)


We are seeking a candidate who is self-motivated, organised and can ‘think on their feet’.

Opportunity for further training and also assistance with ISA Arborist Certification will be available after a qualifying period.

We offer a 38-hour week with flexible working arrangements and the use of a fully maintained company vehicle for travel to/from work. Remuneration will reflect the skill set and experience of the successful applicant.
